The 2025 Tour, a demanding route
The 2025 Tour de France will take place from July 5 to 27, with a 3,338 km all-French route.
The Grand Départ will be given in Lille, before a cross-country journey marked by five high-altitude finishes, two time trials and very few stages for pure sprinters.
The final, unprecedented finish will be in Paris via Montmartre, a nod to the Olympic Games. A demanding route that promises to be a spectacle and should favor climbers.

The Tour de France is the biggest cycling race in the world.
Created in 1903, it brings together the best riders every summer, divided into 22 teams, for 21 stages over 3 weeks. The overall winner is the one with the shortest cumulative time. at the end of all the stages. Each day has its stakes : sprinters, climbers, rouleurs… everyone plays their card.
Plains, mountains, chronos…
Varied stages
The mountain stages are often decisive, with formidable climbs where the favorites do battle. The time trials , run solo, allow for valuable gaps to be built. The flat stages are the sprinters' playground, while the hilly or technical courses can trap the inattentive.
Each stage profile influences the final ranking.

Slovenian Tadej Pogačar returns strongly after his victory in the Giro .
Opposite, Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike), the two-time defending champion, is aiming for a historic hat-trick but remains uncertain after his serious crash in the Basque Country. If both are in good form, the duel promises to be electric in the Alps and on the time trials . The suspense remains.

Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), world time trial champion, could shine on such a comprehensive course. Primož Roglič, from Bora-Hansgrohe, arrives with a strong team. On the French side, David Gaudu and Lenny Martinez will be worth watching !

For the first time, the Tour will pass through Montmartre, and will finish as usual on the Champs-Élysées. This spectacular finale in the narrow streets of the capital could give rise to a last stand for the punchers or the resilient sprinters.
A finish that will close three weeks of intense and strategic racing.
