Choosing an electric bike

You've probably noticed over the past few years, electric vehicles have become more than just trendy! From cars to scooters, including buses, everyone is switching to electric, and it's for the better.

In recent months, electric bikes have especially started to become part of our daily lives. Convenient and fast, electric bikes are becoming increasingly popular and flying off the shelves in stores. So where does this trend come from, and why should you opt for an electric bike in 2023?

EXPLANATIONS

But what is an electric bike?

The Electric Assisted Bicycle (EAB), more commonly known as an electric bike, looks like a regular bicycle but has a unique feature: it has an electric motor!

But the motor isn't the only thing that makes the bike move—you play a big part too. In fact, this mode of transport combines your energy with that of the motor.

What are the advantages?

comfort above all!

Less effort and more comfort!

Could the electric bike be the perfect compromise between effort and relaxation? The answer is yes! Its system, similar to that of an electric scooter, requires a minimum speed of 6km/h to activate the motor.

From this speed up to 25km/h, enjoy a real ride with minimal physical effort.

The little plus

No more "Sweaty Mornings"!

One of the main drawbacks of using a mechanical bike is the physical energy it requires. Indeed, over longer distances, using a bike can potentially cause sweating, which depends on the temperature you're exposed to.

Arriving at work after a 30-minute bike ride in 30°C heat isn't ideal... But with an electric bike, no worries! Less effort and less need for deodorant, much to the delight of your colleagues.

invest for the future!

An investment that will pay off!

The price of electric bikes on the market can range from €900 to €5000 for the highest-quality models. So, a rather high price—but can this investment pay off over time?

The answer is yes! Unlike mechanical bikes, electric bikes allow you to cover longer distances at a higher speed, bringing them closer to the utility of a scooter or motorcycle.

And it's mostly about the budget you'll allocate to charging your two-wheeler, which will make you happy. According to several calculations, expect around 1€ for 1000km of electricity. That's 0.001€ per kilometer. To give you an idea, a car consumes about 85€ of gas for 1000km, which is 0.085€ per kilometer.

the helping hand!

A helping hand to make your life easier!

It’s well-known! Biking is more responsible, more practical, more accessible... And especially appreciated by your wallet!
