The Tour de France is undoubtedly the most prestigious cycling race in the world. Spanning three weeks, it consists of 21 intense stages. To win this competition, the objective is simple: finish all the stages with the shortest cumulative time.
The race brings together 22 teams, each made up of 8 riders with specific and strategic roles.

The different stages
Each stage of the Tour de France is a true adventure, crossing mountains, plains, and thrilling descents.
The high mountain stages, marked by the presence of at least two mountain passes, are the most physically and mentally demanding and often decisive for the overall ranking. During these stages, riders can be seen laboriously climbing kilometers of near-vertical slopes, often scattered in small groups.
. Time trials, which are also crucial, are distinguished by the individual start of the riders. Each participant is timed, and the one who records the best time wins the event.
. Flat stages and hilly stages are distinguished by their routes: a predominantly flat course is a flat stage, while a route with some challenges, such as cobblestones, is called a hilly stage.

The different jerseys
. The yellow jersey is the symbol of the Tour de France. It is worn by the rider leading the overall classification. To wear this coveted jersey, you must be the most consistent performer across all stages. It's every rider's dream to don this iconic jersey.
. The green jersey is worn by the rider leading the points classification. Points are awarded at the end of each stage and during intermediate sprints, which is why the green jersey is generally awarded to the best sprinter.
. The polka dot jersey is worn by the leader of the mountain classification. "Mountain points" are awarded at the top of climbs, varying according to the category of the climb.
. The white jersey is worn by the leader of the young rider classification (under 25).
