A Day with a French  Mountain Biking Champion

Catch your breath during an action-packed downhill ride with Bastien, who’s competed in the French Mountain Biking Championships. We followed our champion for a day and took the opportunity to test our Shapeheart mount under the extreme conditions of mountain biking.

Faced with skeptics, we wanted to take up the challenge once again by collaborating with a mountain bike pro, to demonstrate the reliability of our supports. Mountain biking with a professional means fast descents, rocky terrain, roots, strong vibrations, tight turns and sometimes even backflips! Needless to say, our mount has been through hell. And the result? Result? It held up, and we can't wait to tell you about this adventure

Meeting Bastien

Bastien has been passionate about mountain biking since he was young. Used to challenging terrain, he regularly competes and has even participated in the French Championships. When he agreed to test our Shapeheart magnetic mount, we knew it would be a rigorous test… and it was exactly what we needed to prove that our mount can handle the most extreme challenges.

Testing on Varied Terrain

For this test, Bastien took us to his training ground in Fontainebleau, on steep trails scattered with roots and rocks, featuring sharp descents. As shown in the video, our mount held strong! Our magnet, capable of holding up to 10 kg (50 times the weight of a phone), keeps the phone firmly in place even at speeds of 70 km/h on a steep descent. And for the extra cautious, a safety leash ensures maximum peace of mind, even in the harshest conditions.

A solid performance

Throughout the day, we tackled descents and obstacles, and as expected, the Shapeheart magnetic sleeve didn’t budge. Bastien even shared that he didn’t expect such stability, even during the biggest jumps. For Bastien, beyond the rain protection, the sleeve also offers mud protection. What more could you ask for?

Bastien’s Verdict

After several hours of intense descents, Bastien told us he was won over by our magnetic mount.
